For Amir, dentistry was never just a job—it was a calling, a way to serve, and a reflection of his deep love for people.
Amir was born into a family grounded in faith, love, and unity. He was the son of Raouf Daoud and Laurice Guirguis, and the loving brother to Youssef and Marina, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond. His joy extended further into his life with his marriage to Diana Mikhail, the love of his life and his strongest support. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, faith, and compassion. Their two beautiful daughters, Leila and Sophia, were the lights of Amir’s life. He was deeply proud of them, always sharing stories about their accomplishments and dreams. His devotion as a father knew no limits—he showed up in every way, every day, and left a legacy of love they will carry forever.
Family meant everything to Amir. He was not only a son and brother, but also a beloved son-in-law to Nabil Mikhail and Mary Matta, and a valued brother-in-law to Sherry Mikhail and her husband Mina Nicola, and Paul, Marina’s husband. He cherished the closeness of his extended family, treating every in-law, cousin, aunt, or uncle as if they were his own flesh and blood. He made family gatherings special, always offering a toast, a story, or that signature smile that could brighten any room.
Amir lived with purpose and joy. He had a great love for the game of golf—one of the many places where his competitive spirit and love for nature met. Those who knew him knew how much he looked forward to watching The Masters, and it brings some small comfort to imagine him now—watching from above, perhaps teeing off with the angels, and finally hitting that perfect drive he always joked about.
He wasn’t just someone you went to when you had a toothache—he was someone you went to when you needed a lift in spirit, a word of encouragement, or a reminder of how beautiful life can be. His sense of humor was quick, his hugs sincere, and his heart vast. He had that rare ability to be both strong and gentle, steady yet full of joy. His faith in God was unwavering, and in that faith, he found his strength.
To say he will be missed feels like an understatement. His absence is already felt in every office hallway, every family dinner, every quiet moment when we instinctively expect him to walk in with his gentle voice and wide smile. Yet, we find solace in knowing that his soul is now in the Paradise of Joy, embraced by the Lord he so deeply trusted.
