Although he only celebrated his “official” birthdays on leap years, those who knew him understood that he was truly ageless in spirit, a man who embraced every moment and made the most of every year, every day. To his family and friends, Mark was ageless in his warmth, kindness, and the joy he brought into their lives. Though he was 49 years old when he passed, in many ways, he remained as youthful and vibrant as the 12-year-old boy he would have been had he been born on a non-leap year.
Mark’s love for his family was unparalleled. In 2014, he married his soul mate, Melissa, and together, they built a blended family rooted in love, laughter, and a deep sense of togetherness. Mark was a devoted husband to Melissa, and their bond was a testament to the beauty of love that only deepens with time. As a father, Mark’s love for his children—Merinah (CJ), Jasper, and Jeffrey—knew no bounds. His pride in them was evident in everything he did.
